It’s Media Thursday, and since I didn’t head down to North Hollywood this week to catch the latest installment of Toil and Trouble’s “The Madhouse” Shakespearean burlesque, you’ll have to settle for something a little less…experiential.
No review. Just a preview.
The Anthony Hopkins-starring (along with Emma Thompson, Emily Watson, Jim Broadbent and others) King Lear from the BBC premiered last week across the pond. And it looks…interesting.
Reviews have been fair to middling, ranging from 3- to 4-stars and using some wildly divergent adjectives as “murky” and “mesmerizing.”
Do we have any readers who’ve seen it? Who might want to contribute to the Project as a special “guest correspondent”?
