OK, you all know I’m kinda (well, pretty… no: extremely) self-promotion-adverse… and I know this is a bit late (so let the psychoanalysis begin!), but:
beginning this weekend, I’ll be presenting–in association with Camarillo Skyway Playhouse–a four-week, eight-session Shakespeare for Actors workshop.
You can find a full(er) rundown at the CSP website.
Classes will take place at CSP on Saturdays from 10 AM – 12:30 PM and Sundays from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM, beginning April 7th and ending April 29th with a presentation from the class for the public.
Some examples of what will be taught include: physicalization of lines, speeches, sonnets in small groups, cue scripts, paired work, prose v. verse, scene work: stage awareness, original pronunciation/practice, table work, thee v. you, scene work: audience awareness, and more!
Classes are $160 for the entire 18-hour course of 8 sessions, including the final presentation. You can still contact Jolyn Johnson to register for the class.
