It’s been a good–damned good–week…
- Subbed in my first junior high class. Fun. Didn’t want to gouge my eyes or ears out by the end (this is why I taught high school in my earlier career…which leads me to…)
- Did my orientation for subbing at the high school district
- Baked killer deserts for my wife’s Bunco night
- Had four great rehearsals for the show I’m assistant stage managing, When We Were Young and Unafraid. I swear, I’m going to make it though that second act one night without getting choked up.
oh, and as the doctor Cornelius says in Act Five of Cymbeline (see I still fit in a reference today!): O gods! / I left out one thing…” (V.v.246-7)…
My abstract for a presentation was accepted by the Utah Shakespeare Festival, and I’ll be presenting my paper “An Army of Cuckolds: Cuckoldry and Homosociality in Much Ado About Nothing and Othello” at their Wooden O Symposium in August! I am tremendously psyched about this … and not more than a little nervous (let’s keep those panic attacks under control, Bill!)…
More news later!
