Look what came in the mail yesterday!
The New Oxford Shakespeare: The Complete Works — Critical Reference Edition… in two volumes!
I received the New Oxford Shakespeare Authorship Companion a couple of months back … and I’ve been loving that.
But this?
Whoo, boy. This is freaking awesome.
Two volumes.
Plays in their original published spellings (thus less prone to editorial over-lording [not a word, I’m sure…but still close to what I’m trying to get out]).
With discussions of dramaturgical aspects, like double-casting!
And music!
Oh, there is just not enough time in the day…
