Macbeth: Infographics!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, as we reach the end of our sojourn into the world of Macbeth, it’s time for the release of some Scottish Play-centric infographics.

A Boatload of Infographics!

And as I’ve been trying to do these last couple of plays, there’s not one infographic this month, not two, but–you count ‘em–three (plus a kind of boxed set collection)!

First up is a freebie–Macbeth: Relationships.

This handout depicts the major characters of the play, each represented by a differently colored circle, its relative area based upon the number of lines spoken by the character. Each character circle is linked to others by a black line that denotes the relationship between the two (like “spouse”) and/or a red line that represents the death of one character at the hand of another. This one is a freebie, and available for download at my Teachers Pay Teachers product page.

The next one is called Macbeth: Speeches and Interactions.

This handout depicts those major characters once again as differently colored circles, again its relative area based upon the number of lines spoken by the character. The circles outer border has a thickness determined by the character’s number of scene appearances; and an inner circle with area sized by the character’s speech count. The circles are then connected by lines with thickness representing the number of scenes the characters share. Macbeth: Speeches and Interactions is available for purchase (for $5.00) at my Teachers Pay Teachers product page.

The third one is called Macbeth: Timelines.

Macbeth: Timelines (click for watermarked view; available for purchase at Teachers Pay Teachers)

This handout outlines the narrative arc of the play. Each major character follows a color coded line that moves from the beginning of the play to the end, with the lines coming together within labeled boxes which represent scenes within the play. Easy to follow, this handout can assist students in keeping the relationships straight, as well as showing how each turns out (or turns up dead). Macbeth: Timelines is available for purchase (for $5.00) at my Teachers Pay Teachers product page.

And finally, you can get all three (Relationships, Speeches/Interactions, and Timelines) for a discounted bundle of $8.00 from yet another Teachers Pay Teacher product page.

Check ‘em out… I think you’ll like them and find them of value!
