I’ll be delivering a presentation entitled “What’s the matter with Shakespeare? Words, words words…” for the Ventura County Reading Association on Thursday, April 9.
The 90-minute presentation will provide teachers (or any other interested party!) with tools for confidently introducing Shakespeare to students. The centerpiece will be a scansion workshop and sample lesson on Shakespearean language and blank verse; special attention will be paid to how character and action are revealed within the rhythm of the poetic line.
This free event will takes place from 4:30 – 6:00 pm on Thursday, April 9, at the Ventura County Foundation Building, 4001 Mission Oaks Blvd, in Camarillo.
