RIP, Bill...
Bill Lindquist, the man who single-handedly turned me on to the Bard, passed away yesterday.
I was lucky enough to have him as a teacher, then a mentor, then a colleague.
I was lucky enough to see him before he passed, the first time in many, many years; I gave his wife Janet, a copy of the blog entry that describes my feelings toward him the blog entry that describes my feelings toward him. I was also able to relive some memories with him.
Now I have only memories of him.
He was a great teacher, and he will be missed.
RIP, Bill, RIP...

I just heard about Mr. Lindquist, which led me to look up my second favorite English teacher at OHS, in turn, leading me to this project. :o) I try not to lament that the enormous contribution he (and you) made on my love of reading could have been even bigger had I not been so lazy. Ah, misspent youth.
I'll raise a glass to him tonight. The world is a better place for his having been in it.

I'm number two, I'm number two!
It's great you dropped by. I hope you continue to follow the blog or podcast.
And don't worry about misspent youth, as long as you're "spending" your adulthood well!

I figure since you were edged out just slightly by your own favorite teacher, it counts as number one.
